Photography
The Barcelona Olympic Foundation has a photographic archive of more than 200,000 images illustrating the phase of Barcelona's candidature, the transformation which the city underwent, the peripheral Olympic venues and the Barcelona '92 Olympic and Paralympic Games themselves. The archive also comprises images of the Cultural Olympiad, sports and various sporting competitions, infrastructure, the route taken by the Olympic torch, Olympic-based tourism, along with aerial photographs of the city of Barcelona and the peripheral venues. The collection also includes original pictograms of the Games and its identifying mascots.

Sound and video
The Foundation holds more than 6000 original tapes comprising the most complete bank of images of the Barcelona Olympic and Paralympic Games, with official films of the Olympic movement and other sporting competitions. A phonographic archive meanwhile includes the official music which served as the soundtrack to the Barcelona Games, along with the national anthems of each of the participating countries.

Audiovisual Department
The Foundation's Audiovisual Department is equipped with digital technology and Betacam SP BVW-70P and BVW-65P, U-MATIC LB and HB videotape devices, along with a non-linear editing facility for the production and editing of institutional and commercial audiovisual materials.
