First of all, silver insignias were handed out to four of the Catalan sporting presidents leaving their posts: Juan Lu&iacute;s Gim&eacute;nez (Catalan Baseball and Federation), Santiago Altarriba (Squash), S&iacute;lvia Maig (Korfbal) and Ana&iuml;s Cobo (Life Saving).<\/p>\n<p>The Female Sports Leader award was then given to Maria Jos&eacute; Bilbao for her sterling work in the world of swimming. Maria Jos&eacute; Bilbao is one of the driving forces behind synchronised swimming in Catalonia, and played an active in the championships won in this Olympic discipline.<\/p>\n<p>The ceremony closed with two presentations: the 2014 Catalan Champions Medal, designed by Benet Costa, awarded to the senior Catalan champions in each discipline, and the book &#8220;The Sports Federations of Catalonia and their Presidents&#8221;.
