The event was hosted by Olympic medalist Eli Pinedo and featured appearances by fellow Olympians Gemma Mengual and Eva Moral, who shared their personal commitment to health and environmental awareness.<\/p>\n<p>Other prominent guests included environmental activist Erin Brockovich, Spanish Olympic Committee President Alejandro Blanco, and Barcelona&#8217;s Sports Councillor David Escud\u00e9. The event included the presentation of the Healthy Cities Spaces Awards, honoring urban sustainability projects.<\/p>\n<p>The winning cities were Granada, Seville, and Murcia, each receiving \u20ac70,000 worth of trees. Cartagena, Valladolid, and Zaragoza were recognized with runner-up awards, and Onda (Castell\u00f3n) received a special mention.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Barcelona, Madrid, Bilbao, and Valencia received special recognition for their direct involvement in the challenge through local activities such as solidarity walks. In total, eleven cities will receive trees valued at over \u20ac600,000.<\/p>\n<p>This year, more than 22,600 people joined the challenge of walking 6,000 steps a day from May to June, helping prevent the emission of over 14 tons of CO\u2082.
