To mark the 90th anniversary of the 1936 People’s Olympiad, the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport and the Museu d’Història de Barcelona are offering a guided tour exploring the history of this sporting event, cut short by the outbreak of the Civil War.
The route will delve into the social and political context of the time, as well as the impact of the bombing on the city of Barcelona.
The activity begins at the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport, continues through several sites on Montjuïc linked to this history, and ends at Refugi 307, one of the city’s most emblematic air-raid shelters.
