The “Literature and Sports” reading club arrives at the Olympic Museum and invites people to join upcoming sessions

The second session of the “Literature and Sports” reading club marked an important milestone, as it was the first one held at the Olympic and Sports Museum, strengthening the collaboration between Biblioteca Les Corts – Miquel Llongueras and the Fundació Barcelona Olímpica.

During this session, participants discussed Sabotaje olímpico by Manuel Vázquez Montalbán. The session was led by journalist and historian Toni Padilla, sparking an engaging discussion around literature and sport.

“Literature and Sports” is a project jointly coordinated with the Cultural and Educational Action Department of Biblioteques de Barcelona, Biblioteca Miquel Llongueras and the Fundació Barcelona Olímpica. This short-term reading club includes four sessions between February and May, alternating between the library and the Olympic and Sports Museum.

Following the success of the second session, there is still time to join the upcoming meetings:

  • Thursday, April 9 at 6:30 pm, at Biblioteca Les Corts – Miquel Llongueras: Fireworks, by Rita Bullwinkel.
  • Thursday, May 14 at 6:30 pm, at the Olympic and Sports Museum: What I Talk About When I Talk About Running, by Haruki Murakami, with the participation of Miquel Pucurull, athlete and marathon runner.

With a limited capacity of 25 participants, the club offers a close and engaging experience for anyone interested in literature and sport.
