2013-14 academic year open at the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sport Museum History Symposium

Journalist Joan Manuel was given the task of moderating this fourth session of the History Symposium.

The History Symposium included addresses by Juan Antonio Simón, a postdoctoral researcher at the Olympic Studies Centre of Barcelona’s Autonomous University, entitled Franco’s Olympic Games: An analysis of Barcelona’s failed 1972 bid. along with an address by Alberto Aragón, research fellow at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Olympic Studies Centre entitled Santiago Güell López – The first Catalan on the International Olympic Committee.
