Announcement of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation International Award – Art on Paper 2014. María Victoria Muñoz from Catalonia, with her work ‘G2 Winter Season’, was the winner.

‘Gold Under Water ’, by Madrid's Belén Cobaleda, was placed second, and ‘Expectation’, by Gonzalo Romero of Valencia, claimed third spot.

The three winning works, together with the finalists, will be placed on exhibition from the second fortnight of September onwards in the temporary exhibition gallery at the Joan Antoni Samaranch Olympic and Sport Museum. Entrance to the exhibition will be free of charge. The jury, comprising Raquel Medina, art teacher and critic; Romà Arranz, Lecturer at the Massana School, and Juli Pernas, Director of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation, decided that:

 ‘G2 Winter Season’ – mixed media – should receive the winner’s diploma in the 2014 edition, and a cheque for €2,500.
‘Gold Under Water’ – oil – received the second-place prize, worth €1,800.
 ‘Expectation’ – collage and acrylic – was awarded the €1,200 for third place.
