Less than a year to go before the Rio 2016 Olympic Games begin and governmental institutions are showing their interest in preserving the Olympic Legacy.

Juli Pernas, director of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation has received a visit from Hiran Gonçalves and Fábio Mitidieri, Federal representatives of Brazil and José Augusto Lindgren, the Consul-General in Brazil, in Barcelona.

Two significant events in the Brazilian delegation’s agenda are the trips to Barcelona and London as ideal Olympic Game management models.

Olympic Games organisations are still worried about the following main aspects:

• Olympic venues. Infrastructures and their subsequent management.

• Preservation of the Olympic Legacy. It has raised great interest at the research and preservation centre, the Olympic and Sports Study Center Joan Antoni Samaranch.
