215 participants and 39 teams gathered at the CCCB for a festive night that brought together the five organizing museums for the first time.
The Museum Quiz Summer Tour wrapped up its tenth edition with a resounding success. The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) hosted a special evening that, for the first time in the project’s history, brought together all five organizing museums in a single major event: the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya, the Museu de Ciències Naturals – Jardí Botànic de Barcelona, the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, the Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport, and the CCCB itself.
A total of 215 people, split into 39 teams, took part in this team-based cultural trivia contest, which has established itself, edition after edition, as one of the most beloved and participatory events on Barcelona’s summer calendar. The team Els Millennials took home the win in this commemorative edition.
The evening was hosted by three leading figures from the local cultural scene: actor and comedian Alberte Montes, cabaret performer, presenter and social activist Brigitta Lamoure, and actress and musician Maria Rosa. The three led three rounds of ten questions each, in a format inspired by British pub quizzes and adapted to a museum setting, with questions tied to the themes of the participating museums.
Since its launch, the Museum Quiz has brought together an average of more than 80 teams and 400 participants per edition, building a loyal community around games and culture. Beyond entertainment, the project has always carried a charitable dimension: all proceeds from the bar service go to the NGO Proactiva Open Arms, a commitment upheld once again in this tenth-anniversary edition.
With this special night at the CCCB, the Museum Quiz Summer Tour reaffirms its mission of bringing the city’s cultural heritage into dialogue with a wide and diverse audience, combining knowledge, teamwork and social commitment.
After a tenth edition that exceeded all expectations, the five organizing museums are already thinking about how to celebrate next year. Anyone hoping to defend Els Millennials’ title — or take it from them — can start forming a team now: the eleventh edition of the Museum Quiz Summer Tour returns in 2027, and it promises to be bigger than ever.
