The Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport Joan Antoni Samaranch continues to establish itself as a unique venue for companies hosting corporate events in a setting steeped in history and sporting values. The latest company to join has been Ricoh, official technology sponsor of the Barcelona’92 Olympic Games, which chose our facilities to relive that historic moment.
To mark its 40th anniversary in Spain and its 90th anniversary worldwide, the company brought its Marketing team together in Barcelona to present a new internal strategy, through which the Japanese firm aims to strengthen its leadership in Intelligent Work. Ricoh’s printing and digitisation technology has long been a benchmark in professional and office environments, and in recent years the company has expanded its value proposition with digital services and solutions covering the digital workplace, process automation, IT infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and, more recently, supporting organisations in adopting artificial intelligence.
Among those attending the event was Jesús Centeno, Ricoh’s Direct Sales Commercial Director and an Olympic modern pentathlete at Barcelona’92, who shared with his colleagues his memories and experiences of an unforgettable sporting moment.
With encounters like this one, the Museu Olímpic reaffirms its role as far more than an exhibition space: a place where sport, history and the business world come together.
