Josep Lluís Vilaseca, Trustee of the Barcelona Olympic Foundation, has been one of the heavyweights in the promotion of sport in Catalonia. As Secretary-General for Sport, he was a member of the team behind the Barcelona '92 bid. Vilaseca was likewise President of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body, and is a board member of Barcelona FC and the Spanish Olympic Committee. A whole life dedicated to sport and its smooth administration.

If there is one element which characterised the presentation at the Pedralbes Palace it was not the huge crowd in attendance (another room had to be called into service alongside with a screen for the attendees), but the variety of the figures present, including the Chairmen of Barcelona FC, Josep Maria Bartomeu, and Espanyol, Joan Collet, along with chairmen and representatives from the worlds of politics, sport and culture, such as Agustí Montal, Evarist Murtra, Roca Junyent, Iván Tibau, Enric Truño, Anna Pruna, Albert Batlle, Roures, Nuria Feliu, Ramón Alfonseda, Albert Agustí, Miquel Torres, Albert Soler and more.
