Pioneers

A space reserved for objects dating from the late 19th century to 1955.

The term “sport” was born in England at the end of the 19th century and spread throughout Europe via its more industrialised zones.

The Pioneers hall shows how Barcelona, a city of great industrial and commercial development, embraced sporting activities and competitions at the beginning of the 20th century with international events such as CSIO Barcelona, which now boasts a history stretching over 100 years.
